Which to use

- Better for bugs and requests. The exchange stays in public, so the next person with the same problem can find it. The issue list
- When it cannot be written in public, or when you have no GitHub account, write to contact@partnumbercanvas.com. That address only receives mail — replies come from the maintainer's own address.
Why there is no form
This site is built to receive nothing from the people who use it. A contact form would mean holding your name and address, which in turn means somewhere to keep them and rules for managing them. With email, the record stays in your own mail client, and the operator never ends up holding a copy.
What helps when reporting
- A diagram laid out wrongly: attach the file you exported as JSON and the same state can be reproduced here
- An export that fails: the message on screen, plus your browser and OS
- A page that renders badly: the width of your window, and a screenshot if you can
An exported JSON contains the part number and descriptions exactly as you typed them. Before posting one in public, check that nothing in it has to stay inside your company. A fictional part number that reproduces the same shape works just as well.
Rights questions
If you believe something published here infringes a right, write to contact@partnumbercanvas.com. An issue is fine too, if the content can be written in public.
